Mode of action

Beauveria bassiana works by attaching to the outer surface of an insect, penetrating its body, and growing inside it, eventually killing the pest from within. After the insect dies, the fungus emerges and releases new spores, ready to infect other pests nearby.

Spore Attachment
Spores come into contact with the insect’s cuticle (outer surface) and adhere to it. This is enhanced by means of the formulation.
Germination & Penetration
The spores germinate and penetrate the insect’s cuticle using enzymes and mechanical pressure.
Internal Colonization
Once inside, the fungus proliferates throughout the insect’s body, disrupting vital systems and releasing toxins.
Host Death  
The insect dies from tissue damage, nutrient depletion, and fungal toxins, typically within a few days. Feeding is disrupted before insect death.
Sporulation & Spread
After death, the fungus emerges from the cadaver
